Chancellor Don Doucette

Dr. Don Doucette, Chancellor of Eastern Iowa Community CollegeChancellor Donald S. Doucette has been leading Eastern Iowa Community Colleges (EICC) since July of 2011.

As Chancellor, Dr. Doucette oversees all activities and operations of EICC including Clinton, Muscatine and Scott Community Colleges. He has placed a focused emphasis on student success, economic development and efficiency throughout the college.

Born and raised in Salem, MA, Dr. Doucette earned his Ph.D. in Higher Education from Arizona State University, his M.A. in English and his B.A. in English from Cornell University. He and his wife, Lynn Drazinski, have three children: Emily, Meredith and Daniel.

Dr. Doucette has also been active in regional accreditation, including serving for 10 years as a consultant-evaluator for the Higher Learning Commission and a member of its Accreditation Review Council.

Prior to taking over the reins at EICC he served as Senior Vice President and Provost of Ivy Tech Community College of Indiana and its 28 campuses with more than 165,000 students.

Previously, he served in various leadership, administrative and teaching roles for the Metropolitan Community Colleges of Kansas City, MO, the League for Innovation in the Community College; Johnson County Community College, Overland Park, KS; Maricopa County Community College District, Phoenix, AZ; and the University of Missouri-Kansas City.

Dr. Doucette led the establishment of the first community college in Haiti, the Business and Technology Institute in Les Cayes, Haiti, and serves on its board. He also serves or has served on the boards of the Friends of BTI Foundation, the Healthy Mothers Healthy Babies Foundation which operates maternal healthcare clinics in rural Haiti, and the HELP Foundation which supports nine primary schools there. He has also served on local and national committees of the American Red Cross.
